Today is another day spent to prepare my pre-departure stuffs. Met up with my friends to go to our translator's house to pass her our documents. I'm surprised that the person is actually an elderly chinese lady. She must be making big bucks because each piece of document that she translates costs $40. She promised to give us a ten percent discount since all of us are giving her business. Well, better than nothing. I have four documents to translate and it should cost me approximately $160, excluding any discounts. Expensive man.. This France exchange is starting to cost a lot. There was another lady in the house, an indian lady. Both of them seems very knowledgable about French language and France. They gave us some advises about the weather there. Well, nothing we have not known by now.

After this, we went to Thai Airways and tried to get the headoffice to increase our baggage limits. One of my friends tried to ask for another increase to 40kg, but was rejected. The office lady said it was actually out of goodwill that they increase our limit to 30kg from 20kg and another 10kg is simply impossible. Hmmm.. A good try from my friend. Anyway, this increase is only for Sg to Paris. This means that I cannot bring too much stuff there, unless we can get a 10kg increase from the office in London where we are coming back from. I learnt something from this. Cheap air tickets means little baggage and no entertainment on the plane. Haiz. Can die of boredom on my long trip.

Next, June and I went to orchard road to do some shopping. Finally, I bought my travel guide now. It's quite thick and expensive. It basically covers the western side of Europe. I haven't really flipped through the book, but I hope that I'll find it worth the money when I read it later. June bought a thermal wear at the lonelyplanets shop. Actually, I didn't know the weather will be that cold until we need that. Looks like I got to spend money again. She bought the last piece in the shop and it'll be out of stock for some time. Don't think I can get the thermal wear in Singapore by the time I leave for overseas. By the way, today I happily went and bought a lock for my handcarry bag. Until I reached home, then I realized that my zips on my bag does not have any holes to put the lock. So lame. Wasted my money. Maybe I will change to bring another bag. I haven't decided. Seriously, I feel so stupid.
