In Paris..
I'm in Paris now. Kind of feeling weird. What I have been waiting so long has finally arrived. It's been about 12 days I am in Paris. Left on the 19 August. On the 19th, my dad drove my entire family and I to the airport, of course with my luggages which are damn heavy. I was feeling so excited yet sore that I am leaving my family to go France. All those I cared about came to send me off. I'm glad that they came. Then, my exchange friends and I had to meet up a while to check in our luggage. My friend actually had 32kg. She just tried her megawatt smile at the counter lady and she got her luggage increase free! After this, my friends, family and I had dinner together at the food court. The food sucked and it is expensive for the rubbery taste chicken I got. The part when I entered the area where passport was needed was kind of sore. I came to understand how people felt when they turned and waved to their loved ones in the airport. Wah.. I am listening to my sister's blog music. It's so nice and sad. I really feel like crying now. Missing my family very much. I remembered lugging on all my laptop bag and carry-on bag, which were like 10kg each on each side. For my size, it was really too much but I managed. Walked through a security checked point and it sounded because of my stupid belt and coins. The female security checked and checked then I passed. Then, here comes the part of the plane. The thai airways plane was really cramped. 2 of my friends and I shared the same row together. I was supposed to get an window seat. However, there was no window seat for me because my row so suay I got the only one which did not have. Okie, I didn't really cared about that.. I was more anxious about the airplane take-off. Well, it was a bit scary for a first timer like me. You can actually feel the plane ascending and the sound of the engine whoosing from the outside. The air stewardess were all thai. The airline seemed to be afraid that you are starving inside the plane. The serving of food was almost immediate after the latch your seatbelt sign was off. I couldn't eat anymore food after the dinner at the airport. My friends all took the food and ate happily while I almost puked at the sight of eating again. The airplane flew only about two hours and fifteen minutes before it touched down in Bangkok airport. The Bangkok airport was a bit run down and had long corridoors for passengers to walk to reach other transit doors. My luggage was damn heavy by then. All of us bascially just looked for a trolley to put all our stuffs to push along. In order to go into the transit area, we had to lug our luggage down the stairs to the transit check point. It was super tiring. The queue was long and the check point moved really really slowly. I really felt that my whole dinner had digusted after all these lugging. You know, after rambling so long.. I have to say I became to have 1 laptop bag, 1 had carry bag and a godiva bag with my pillow case. My friend kept teasing me that I had a godiva pillow. Funny right? I had too much things to carry on the plane and I had to rearrange my stuffs in order for me to carry in the plane easier. Godiva pillow. Haha. Okie, the transit plane was so much bigger than the first plane to Bangkok and the plane has double stories. However, it was equally cramped. So much for cheap rates paid. This time I really got a window seat and I got a good glimpse of the plane taking off. It was fantasic this time round. The plane left the ground and Bangkok just became spots of lights that became smaller and smaller as the plane flew higher. Well, dinner was served almost immediately again. This time I felt starved. I ate the food while my friends all refused. Hehe. Airplane food is quite okay. There's quite a variety on the plate, ranging from the main dish to the side dishes. I drank coffee. I just simply can't resist coffee. I tell people before. People take drugs, drink alchol and smoke and get addicted. I, take coffee and get addicted. =p The plane became quite cold in the night as the plane flew higher and higher. The wide screen television in the plane displayed that the plane is don't know like one thousand or three thousand metres above ground. I'm just shocked. Because I feared heights and I am actually so high up in the air now. I used the blanket provided to cover myself from cold. Still it is quite cold. The only pain during the airplane trip was to go to toilet. I had to climb out of my cramped seat past all my two friends before I could walk to the toilet. The toilet flushing was quite loud and I was supposed to cover the seat before I flushed. Well, I heard that if u sit on the airplane's toilet bowl when you flush, your butt would basically get stuck due to the the air pressure. Don't know where there is any element of truth to this. Haha. And also, being inside the plane makes one dehydrated. I felt so so thirty after I woke up in the early morning. I had to press for the button and ask for water. The air stewardness seem to know why people press button for because the water just magically immediately appear straight after I asked. I remembered looking at the screen in the plane again in the morning. The temperate of the atmosphere outside the plane was -56 degrees. So shocking. It's simply amazing how the airplane inside can contain the temperature. Perhaps the plane inside is a vaccum. As the plane flew, the morning came. I remembered seeing the left outside of the plane was dark and the right outside of the plane was a beautiful blue as the sun was coming up. The sky was so amazing. I looked out of the window. I could see sheets of clouds underneath the plane. Almost like you can step out the of plane and step on the clouds to reach paradise. So lovely. As usual with my fantasic imagination, I wondered how gods live up in the clouds. I expected to see gods up there, but of course did not. I was then thinking maybe they are hiding from me. Haha. Anyway, I don't think I will ever ever forget this sight in my life. So damn amazing. You know, I have so much to say about my thoughts and memories on of my trip. But, I feel so damn tired now. My eyes are actually blurring already as I am typing now. I will continue tomorrow. Goodnite..
