I'm back from Bordeaux. Just reached my hostel in Cergy. Carried back some stuffs that weighs like tons of bricks and it includes 3 bottles of red wine (2 for home and 1 for gift), 1 white wine jam (Yum!) and 3 smaller bottles as a gift set. Bordeaux is a very peaceful, small and beautiful place. The vineyards I saw are spread almost all over the entire outskirts of Bordeaux. The neatly lined up vineyards with grapes hanging near the bottom is something which I have never ever seen before until today. I visited the red wine factory, Chateau Cantin, organized by the tourism office of Bordeaux. The chateau produces red wine in hector-litres. Man.. You can commit sucide by drowning yourself in the red wine. They have huge huge barrels with they can store the red wine. This chateau engages manual help in the grape haveresting season, which now the month of October, to collect all the grapes from their vineyards. These red wines are stored in barrels and these are transferred to other barrels in other years to remove sediments until these red wines are clear and red. There was also a wine tasting session, where the person-in-charge of the Chateau taught use brieftly how to taste red wine. The wine was good, err... A bit too good for a novice like me. I only drank half of the glass. Then, my friends started to declare that my face looked red again. I have a really bad drinking problem. One glass is enough to turn my whole face red like apple. That night before we left for Bordeaux, we actually went to a German friend's hostel at Linandes for german dinner. I had a glass of fruit juice which has alcohol content inside and I was positively a bit light headed after 3/4 of the glass. I could feel my head warm and light. Man.. Is this the feeling of getting drunk? I never get drunk before. Wait. Someone's knocking on my door now. Well, the sercurity guard just came knocking on my door because I turned on my music too loud. Oops.. Haha. Okie, back to my Bordeaux trip. The tour guide from the tourism office also brought us to a nearby medival village near the vineyard. The little village was quite interesting. It has cobbled streets and slanted slopes. The view down there was quite stunning. You can see the mountains and greeneries in the faraway of the village. During the trip, my friend and I got to know this German guy because he was too tall and needed to sit the back seat of the tour bus, where my friend and I was seating. I thought he was quite scary because the colour of his eyes is pale smokey blue and you almost cannot see his retinas. Well, I thought my friend was a bit flirting with him at the beginning and it was quite uncomfortable for me. That guy later then keep sticking to my friend during the tour of the village. Later, we did took some photos together because he wanted to. My other friends were like some obviously avoiding him because they also took a picture with him and I heard that he put his hand on my friend's butt. Heng arh. Because when we took the photo together, he put his hand on my waist. Guys in europe are quite open, compared to Asian guys. They will just put their hands on your waist while taking photos, even if you just know them. Well, that german guy called my friend late a night and asked her out. Man. I warned her that it was dangerous to go out with someone she only just know. She said she most probably wouldn't go. Well, it might be quite fun to make new friends. But, I think guys here have a different mentality than Sg guys. And going out alone with a new guy friend is super dangerous in my point of view. It's better to be safe than sorry. Okie, end of my nagging. She didn't go because the guy's handphone went dead and he didn't call back. I find that after just travelling around in France for a bit, I missed my pillow and bed back in my hostel room. Hee. My own space is precious. This weekend is again another travelling to Brussels, in Belgium for three days. I already feel super duper tired just travelling consectively on 2 weekends. There's more coming. I feel like I want to call home. I think I will do that tomorrow after my french class. Hey my dear sisters, when I am not home, please help me to ensure my bed is free from dust hor. I don't want to fall into a pile of dust to sleep when I come home in December. Hehe. I am very tired now. Need to go and sleep now. Goodnite!
