It's another troubled night for me. Refusing to fall into a mood of depression again, I started to look at some pictures that was taken over this entire exchange. The start of the trip at Changi airport did include some photos of him. Accidentally opened the folder and I saw the group photo which was taken with him. My heart practically just skipped a beat. Well, I closed the folder before I could look or think much more.
I looked at other photos taken with my exchange friends in Italy and Belgium. My hilarious friends with their wacky poses really cheered me up instantly. One thing I noticed is all of them have nice smiles, except me. Boohoo.. Well, you cannot imagine how much I wished I had a set of perfect teeth. If I had a fairy god mother, I would wish that I have a set of nice, straight and perfect teeth. Then I thought, one must be careful of what he or she wished for because wishes would always turn out the other way which you would not think of. Maybe she would just change the fact that I had perfect teeth and others imperfect. Get it? Haha. My weird thoughts. Well, I must be glad that I had the chance to travel even though I have the sad fact of imperfect set of teeth. Yes, I am really glad.
Through out this exchange trip, I made one of my friend sometimes pissed at me (I know it..) because of my rotten photography skills. I can't help it. I really really tried very hard to take the photos straight. I sucked in my breath and pressed the button when I took the photos subsequently. If I still take the photos blurred, I really can't do anything about it. I know I sucked badly as a photographer, and sometimes the weather was really too cold. I can't help trembling. I must admit that at times I do get pissed off too, when she kept complaining that I took the pictures blurred. That day at Paris, I was on the verge of exploding, but I didn't want to because it was stupid to get angry over this. Hey girl, I need to say that I'm really sorry and I had really tried my best. I hope this will not affect our friendship.
Okay, back to the photos. There are some excellent photos that I have taken. Not because I improved, but the scenery was just too beautiful. Any cheap camera would also come out with the same heavenly effect. The photo at Anacapri in Naples, Italy. It was like the heaven found earth and touched the ocean at a faraway distance, coupled with a dreamy effect. Each time I looked at the photo, I just go breathlessly "Woah..". The pictures taken at Pompeii was nice too. Next time, I can point to the textbook and tell my kids "Mummy has been to Pompeii when I was twenty-two". Wahaha.. I can just imagine the awe on their faces even though I cannot imagine how their faces will look like. Will I even get married in the first place? Haha. I'm going mad.
There's all kinds of weird pictures too.. Like those secretly taken when we were all so tired and asleep in the bus. In the middle of our disgusting, drooling session while asleep. Well, I have a spidey woman picture, which will become a classic over the years. Muahahaha.. There's a picture of a hair-raising caterpillar. Err.. Taken at Sicily by someone.
To compliment the sights sent forward by photos, there's also videos to enhance the sounds of our trip. The videowoman aka. tour guide was super dedicated. Resulting in a whopping 4.45 gigabytes of videos in my laptop?!?! Well, we are already used to having a trusty Canon S40 camera shooting in our faces by now.
Currently at 1.34am, I'm getting a little too excited about my travels. It's a bad idea to be so happily awake here when I have a French test at 9am in the morning. Guess I should go and sleep now..
Good night and sweet dreams..
