Happy National Day to all!

This day just seemed to come so fast every year and it just seems like I'm counting my own birthday.
Just yesterday, I was just reading about a comment on ST forum posted by a Singaporean studying in London.
He talked about the views of HDB, the kind of security and the way of life that we can't get when one's out of our homeland.
Not that London ain't good, it was just not the same.
It just felt like he talked right out of my heart.
I guess no one can really felt strongly of the patriotic love for our home until one's thrown into the foreign grounds.
During the brunch session with SS today, we recounted on the kind of Chinese food that we had abroad.
Consensous was that our local markets sell tastier and better ingrediants.
Perhaps it's because we grew up right here and our tastebuds are simply accustomed to
having the Singaporean way of food.
Where else can you find all the tasty laksa, chicken rice, bak kut teh and cha kuay tiao that easily and cheaply?
It was funny that one of my friends told SS that I was quite desperate for rice when on exchange.
Well, what do you expect when you do not have a rice cooker or a pot with a lid? Heh.
Even so, the price of a packet of rice will surely shock my mum who is the accountant in the family. Haha..
Hey, I'm still open to working abroad if I have the opportunity.
Because I believe that there is really much to learn regardless of the life or work when one is abroad.
But, nowhere will be able to replace Singapore, my only homeland, in my heart.

Thanks to Pretty Sunflower and my colleague, I had the chance to watch Superstar live for both this week's male and female Semifinals in Mediacorp again.
All the contestants have improved to some degree.
I'm really impressed at Weilian whom managed to earn a higher score than JY and Weijian.
He's really sounds superstar now.
For JY, apart from his good techniques, he is no doubt becoming more and more handsome now. A drastic improvement from his usual sporty attire.
Somehow, I thought that he did not perform that well yesterday, for he did not really sing to "touch" me.
Am I too critical? Haha..
For the girls, Sin Huey is worth a mention.
This girl's star quality voice simply awes me from the 1st day she sang.
Pretty Sunflower and I laughed that her improvements goes by exponential rate while the others goes by linear rate.
Heh..
I really hope this dark horse wins.
