Sawat-Dee! My Bangkok trip is offically over and I'm here to update about my trip..

Day 1.

After a month of waiting and occassional day-dreaming during my hectic work, Pretty Sunflower and I travelled by Tiger Airways to BKK. The Tiger airplane experience was a squeaky affair and hearing the sound of engines squeaking seriously quite horrified me. Haa. Reaching the BKK and after queuing for super duper long time at the Customs, we met up with our tour guide who directed us to our driver who brought us to our hotel, Eastin Hotel. Although it was only a mere 3 star hotel, the hospitality and friendliness of Thai people really surprised me. Two thumbs ups!

Stepping out of our hotel, we discovered that crossing the traffic in Thailand was quite a scary event. The tuk-tuks and cars didn't seem to give way to pedestrians and seemed to come from everywhere. We actually feared for our lives while crossing the road. Haha.

Guess where was the first place that we checked out after checking in? Hee.. We, the shoppaholics, of course went to Pratunam market and Indra Square which were nearby our hotel to start our sprees and to make the best use of our little time left in the day from travelling. Pratunam market is a huge and non-airconditioned market selling lots of apparels at quite cheap prices, where you can find things for the young to the old. In comparison, Indra Square was a young and hip place similar to our Far East Square and of course, prices are much higher down here.

Tired and hungry from shopping, we stopped for a little tea break in Indra Square.

After re-charging ourselves, we continued shopping. Oh yeah, Thai girls are so slim. It's amazing that actually for the 1st time in my entire life that I couldn't find any clothes that fit me. Hmmpt! I could only watch Pretty Sunflower grab clothes after clothes. Booboo.. Haiz.

Anyway, the shops closed at 7pm. So early! Haa. We discovered that little stalls actually flood the sidewalk of the streets along the Pratunam markets at night. It was quite a skill to avoid being "bang" by vehicles while shopping at the same time. Hee.. Finally, we had our scumptous international buffet dinner at the famous Bakoiye Sky Hotel that spawned a terrific view of Thailand at the 87 storey.

Look at our dinner.. Yummm..

Time for beautiful sceneries up and picture taking session at the viewing gallery.. The view up there really makes one feel like being up on the Effiel Tower minus the freezing coldness. Beautifuulllll....

And just look at the famous BKK traffic jam.. Woah..

With our feets aching like mad, it was time back to rest after dinner. For the first time in my life, I took a tuk-tuk ride which I sweared no thanks anymore. Haha.. The driver basically zigged- zagged across lanes and cutting the traffic to bring us back. Haiz. Furthermore, generous first-timers like us genna "chop" by them for such a short ride. Anyway, back in the hotel, it's really a good remedy to soak our aching feets in hot waters in the bathtub. So low cost and comfortable..

Here's my loot for the 1st day.. Pathetically little..

Okay, typing until here.. I'm tired.

Will continue updating about my trip tomorrow.. Hee..
