This year's Christmas is indeed quite different and fun for me. Because for the first time in my life, I'm hosting a mini party gathering at my house. Heh. I'm excited at having some fun at my house but yet a little stressed about being a good host. But, luckily my guests were good and so, the gathering was overall a success. Yippee.

Started off preparing for the feast at about 2.30pm. And wow... I must say that preparation was quite tiresome. Haha. Perhaps due to my lack of help in the kitchen, I needed to consult my mum on how to cook certain ingrediants. After all the cooking for like 3 hours in the kitchen, I managed to come up with a creamy fish with brocolli, baked potatoes and sphagetti with tomato sauce. What a wonder.. Haa.

My guests arrived at about 5pm and scurried to the kitchen to prepare cocktails, curry puffs and spring rolls. Guess what do you get with a bunch of people cooking in the kitchen?

A loud and messy attempt with..
1. Jessie (J) frightenly poking at the spring rolls in the wok of cooking oil.
2. Huimin (HM) staying composed to offically be the "Chef".
3. Jinshan (JS) disturbing the chefs' "work-in-progress" with his camera.
4. And Ernest (E).. *Coughs* To stay in the kitchen to sweat. Hahaha.

After our efforts, our table became quite a spread..

Before we begun the dinner, my sister had to become the camera-woman to snap our group picture..

Finally, we ate.. Dinner was okay, though the food was a little cold by the time we ate. The amount of food was quite overwelming. Even our "demolisher" Tianjie (TJ) annouced that he felt full so soon after eating.. Hee.

Later, we proceeded with mahjong. For the first time in my life, I finished playing a full set of mahjong with some guidance from the mahjong king aka. Ernest. I must admit for an amateur like me, this game's really quite fun.

Anyway, there came a visitor called Xiao Qiang flying into our room and scaring the wits out of all the girls, and especially me where I unknowingly hit J on her shoulder a few times in an attempt to run out of the room until she screamed pain. Haha. While JS and TJ were in the room trying to kill the cockroach, the only guy out of the room, E, with us said he was scared of flying cockroaches. I can only say.. Alamark. The girl with him next time damn suay. Haha.. Anyway, our hero TJ squashed the scary insect and dumped it into the rubbish bin. Yeah. End of our woes and we resumed our mahjong.

Thanks to JS, we stopped for some desserts later- super expensive and yummy cakes from Crystal Jade.. Waaah..

Although the gathering ended quite early at about 12am, it had been fun, "exciting" and super filling. It's been really nice to catch up and have some fun together. A great but short time to forget all the usual work and worries in our everyday lives.. Hopefully, we'll get to organise another homely gathering again. =)

To side track, I've been bitten by dunno-what insect when I sat outside of Toa Payoh McDonalds waiting for my insurance agent. The insect bites at the back of my poor thigh now have formed a swell bigger than my palm. And it's so itchy and painful.. Boo boo~ I really feel like cutting my thigh off now. Haiz.
