My TOIL Day..
Took a day's leave today. My mind kept telling me that if I don't take leave today, I wouldn't have a chance to rest again until the end of the peak period in May. I had the chance to sleep until I woke up without the alarm clock screaming in my ear, to smell the fresh morning air, to read the Straits Times properly while eating my breakfast at the kitchen table. Life's really very good like that.
There was a particular news that caught my attention. While reading, I realised that the news concerned one of my friend's family and apparently, the parents is currently going through a high profile divorce. With her name splashed out on the news article, I supposed I can understand why her personality and attitude can be weird and scary at times. I still do think that she's nice as a person but when it comes to work, she will turn into this freaking perfectionist monster who will bite anyone. It's sad. I did hated her at a point in time, but now I no longer do so. Hopefully, she's well. =)
Anyway, in the afternoon, I took a swim in Toa Payoh swimming pool and guess who I saw there? ...... It was our Singapore Idol Contestent, Maia Lee. Haha.. One really wonders why she's there. From a distance, I saw that this girl was wearing so scantily with heavy makeup and I thought, "Who goes swimming in that attire?". Haha. When I walked nearer, I realised from the few excited Malay boys standing next to me saying that it was Maia Lee. And one of them was telling another one to get email address from her. Haha.. Boys.. Anyway, she wasn't going for a swim. She just went to ask something from the swimming pool's admin office. Hee.
Went for a little stroll in the central area and bought a curling tong. I was thinking of curling my hair for my company's D&D next saturday. My pathetic first-timer efforts at curling left my hair looking like I didn't comb my hair instead of being curled. Haha. Looks like I gonna practise more often because practise makes perfect. Bleah~
As I thought back about my work, it's very heart-warming to hear people say a word of thanks or give you some concern after a long day of work. Yesterday, I knocked off at about 9pm after helping a manager to do some work. While he thanked me for helping him, the AIC for the job actually asked me to take a cab home because it was late. I said no because I felt broke from taking cab consectively over this month. After I put my laptop back in my cupboard, he came and told me that he could lent me some money to take cab home and return him next time. For a moment, I almost burst out laughing because I thought he was cute sia. It's not that I can't afford to pay taxi fare but I just wanted to save up. Haha. This morning I checked my mail and discovered that he sent an email telling me to charge OT hours and claim meal allowance. What a nice guy. Haha. Pretty Sunflower, this one can qualify as my idol. Haha. Regarding your one, you can be rest assure I'll really wrap him up for your Xmas pressie. Hehe.. =P
Before I end my ramblings.. I feel like saying...
