Spent a lovely weekend with my friends in Cameron Highlands.

Cameron Highlands is a nice, cooling small town up in a mountain of winding roads that needed like at least an hour plus to ascend.
Reached the town about 8 am in the morning and the bus dropped us to have our breakfast at Brinchang.

Proceeded to have our caffine and teh fixes at a local rotiprata store.
It was no doubt funny that LY and I wanted kopi-siu-tai and we "forced" Mr L. to translate this into Malay to the guy taking the orders. =P
I think he was stunned for words for a while but managed to rephrase the words to give the orders. Haha.

Our nassistic nature calling us to pose.... Say BRRRrr!

Begun our tour where we visited some beautiful places like the mystic Boh tea plantations and the Mossy Forest up in higher altitudes of the mountain.
The sights absolutely set my heart thumping excitedly.
How many times do we get to see breath-taking mountains amidst of our concrete jungle?
It was also amazing to see the vibrant colours of flowers.
Must be result of the climate.

Boh Tea factory..

After seeing all the tea-making process, at least now I understood the difference between tea dust and rubbish teas.
At the tea factory, it's a pity that we didn't have time to sit down and enjoy the cool air with nice cuppa of tea at the mountain-facing terrace.

Attempted some nature shots, which I think I sucked because I just bought a new camera.
Most of my shots are sadly over-exposed.
The result of using camera without reading the manual first. =(
But, I managed to save my photos with this wonderful free editing tool called Picasa. Heh.

It had been unfortunate that it had been a super rainy day, adding to the surprise of bad traffic jams up in the mountain.
We trudged through the local markets, similar to pasar malams, with umbrellas.
The whole market seemed to be selling strawberries and more strawberries which was what Cameron was famous for.

And finally we headed for a steamboat dinner with wet jeans and shoes..

Returned to our hotel, Equatorial, to rest up.
The chilly winds, authentic fireplace and christmas trees really set the whole place up for Christmas mood.
How nice it would be to snuggle on a couch in front of the fireplace with a cuppa of Starbucks toffee nut latte. Haa.
Too bad there is no Starbucks in Cameron Highlands.

It had been a nice, short trip.
How I wished it had be longer...
But, I'm so glad that my friends and I actually are able to spend time together even though most of us are doing different jobs now. =D
