The Standard Chartered Marathon was such a uber cool event.
I had actually finished the 10km marathon without any preparations.
And the timing when I reached the end point was 1 hour and 23 minutes.
Wee~ It's an achievement for me, for I remembered jogging a 10km route through MacRitchie reservoir with my bestie and we actually took an amazing 3 hours to get back.
And the guys thought that we were lost. Haa.
The atmosphere at the Esplande bridge was absolutely addictive.
How could one not feel estatic when the crowd did?
The first 3km jog was relatively interesting as you don't get that much a chance to run on the main road of Shenton Way.
The next 4km into the Marina Bay area seemed a little endless because you can only see never-ending trees and the tons of people persevering in front of you.
At times, I do find it quite tiring to outrun those in my way as I had to slow down and change direction.
These really dragged down my momenteum.
The last 3km back to the Padang was fine, until the last 100 metres where I dashed to the end point until I thought my legs would give way under me. Hee~
Finishing the marathon really gives one the feel good factor.
I might just join the marathon again next year! =P
